We’re happy to share the newest website by photographer (and now filmmaker) Patricia Innocenti. For those who don’t remember Patricia was our choice to helmet the project of the first feature film by Sincronia – the documentary The Social Technology, which will be partially shot in South Africa. She started her career in 1992 working in photo studios and soon after she specialized in clicking landscapes from everywhere – both from Brazil and overseas. A nature and animal enthusiast, a free creative spirit, Innocenti lived in California for many years. Back in Brazil, she decided she would travel the country from north to south to portray the different nuances of a very diversified nation. The end result is all in this platform where the surfer can purchase and then download the high resolution pictures. Besides, in the website, it is possible to buy the book Brasil – Volume 1, where the author selected some of the most beautiful images that composed her month-long trip.
“I’ve had a lot of work”, says Patricia, “but in the end it was all very good, exactly the way I wanted.” This free spirit and connection to the outside world – in opposition to a four-walled studio – has guided Patricia’s work for many years. “Photography became for me more than a simple means of communicating reality, it was actually part of who I found out, and chose to be. The different cultures found on our planet awaken in me a huge passion.
Meet them and share with people, contributing to the preservation of the cultural memory of peoples, the conservation of the species and forests, are rewarding personal goals. The way I found to make people aware was showing, through my work, how the protection of the environment is the only way. With my images, I want to thrill, inspire, and talk to people about the deepest feelings of my soul.” It’s no coincidence that the best image to illustrate all that is the one of the Christ, The Redeemer, a symbol of the city of Rio de Janeiro, with His open arms and ready to receive.
